Jonathon M. Rogers, DMD
Dr. Jon Rogers attended Greeneville High School and completed his undergraduate studies at Appalachian State University. He has been practicing dentistry full time since graduating from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 2006. While in school, he received several awards, including a National Institutes of Health Grant for Student Research, the Pfizer Research Award for Excellence in Periodontal Research, and the Outstanding Student in Implant Dentistry Award given by the Academy of Osseointegration.
He has been an Invisalign Certified Provider since 2007. Dr. Jon has completed over 1000 hours of continuing education since his graduation, well above the 200 hours required by the state. He regularly travels to Scottsdale to the Spear Education Institute where he participates in the Spear Education Workshop Series, one of the premiere dental continuing education centers in the world.
Dr. Jon has had special training in implant dentistry including completing the Basic and Master’s level Biomet 3i/Zimmer Implant Surgical/Restorative Synergy Training Program and being invited to attend the Astra World Congress in Sweden in 2012. He regularly attends ongoing local and regional continuing education study clubs and is in the process of completing the Spear Education Workshops. He has been a distinguished lecturer for several implant companies, teaching other dentists how to choose and restore dental implants. Since 2017, he has been a mentor and instructor for Restorative Driven Implants, a comprehensive teaching curriculum which trains other dentists about implant dentistry. He also runs a weekly dental podcast to educate other dentists.
In his spare time, he loves spending time with his wife, Kara, and their three children, Asher, Sadie and Elsie. Dr. Jon also enjoys playing music and being outdoors in the mountains of East Tennessee.
Both Dr. Jon and Dr. Carlone are members of the American and Tennessee Dental Associations, as well as the local First District Dental Society. Dr. Jon is active in the premier dental implant academy, the Academy of Osseointegration. He believes in giving his time to help less fortunate and has done volunteer dentistry while on mission trips to Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and India.
Edward J. Carlone, DDS
Dr. Ed Carlone attended Marathon Central School in the town of Marathon, NY where he graduated Valedictorian of his class. After graduation, Dr. Carlone went on to St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology graduating Summa Cum Laude. While in college, he was a Trustee’s Scholar and Science Scholar participating in research of a novel aircraft design. Dr. Carlone’s desire to become a dentist became reality when he was when he was accepted at the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in Buffalo, NY. His experience in dental school included all disciplines within the profession and many outreach opportunities. He graduated in May 2013 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University.
Dr. Carlone always wanted to move South following graduation and looked all over the Southern United States. He found the people if Northeast Tennessee to be the friendliest and most welcoming of all. After settling into the area, Dr. Carlone has been practicing dentistry full-time ever since. He joined Rogers Family Dental in October 2014 and is proud to serve his patients alongside the wonderful team at the practice. As a member of a practice that places high value on technology and learning, Dr. Carlone participates in Continuing Education Courses as often as he can, far exceeding state requirements. Along with Dr. Jon, he works hard to be on the cutting edge of material and procedural advancements backed by peer-reviewed research. Dr. Carlone is a member if the American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, and the First District Dental Society. He enjoys attending the First District Dental meeting not only for Continuing Education, but also to network with local dentists and address issues specific to the practice of dentistry in our local area.
In Addition to being passionate about serving his patients, Dr. Carlone is passionate about aviation. He is currently an instrument-rated pilot and loves sharing the beauty of flight with others. He is a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and the Experimental Aircraft Association. Dr. Carlone is an active member of Greeneville’s local EAA Chapter 1355. He is a new EAA Young Eagles Pilot and loos forward to donating his time to share the gift of flight with kids throughout the community.
Dr. Carlone also enjoys NASCAR and can be found cheering Dale Jr. on at our local track in Bristol which happens to be his favorite track of the circuit. When not participating in these activities, he enjoys target shooting at a local range and is a supporter of the shooting sports. He maintains membership in the National Rifle Association and a Civilian Marksmanship Program affiliated club.
